Loss Analyzer

Just lost a ship and want to understand why? Paste a zKillboard link, an ESI killmail link or just a character name: we pull the killmail, rebuild the fit, measure the enemy gang size and ISK lost, and turn it into concrete pointers — "what could have saved the fit".

Public zKillboard + official ESI data. The pointers are heuristic (tank detection by module name, gang composition) — a post-mortem, not a Pyfa-style simulator.

Runs on EVE's public APIs (ESI, Fuzzwork, zKillboard). Nothing you type is stored.

How it works

  1. 1Paste a zKillboard/killmail link, or type a character name (their latest loss is analyzed).
  2. 2Read who killed you, the gang size and the ISK lost/dropped.
  3. 3Go through the post-mortem pointers and the rebuilt fit.

Use cases

Understand why you died

Paste your killmail right after the fight: you see the tank gap, the enemy gang size and concrete pointers so you don't repeat the mistake.

After-action reports

Generate a clean summary and a shareable link for your corp Discord: who killed what, the ISK lost, the fit — no screenshots needed.

Scout an opponent

Type a pilot's name to see their latest loss: their fit, who got them and how. Useful intel before an engagement.

Read a killmail like a veteran

A raw killmail on zKillboard is a list of modules and attackers. The meaning — why the ship died, what could have saved it — takes experience. This analyzer does that work: it flags a missing tank or Damage Control, classifies the gang composition (solo, small-gang, fleet, blob, NPC) and highlights what survived.

The pointers are honest heuristics (module detection by name, gang size, dropped-ISK ratio), not a simulator. For full EHP and fit simulation, the Fit Workshop in the EVE Tools Suite desktop app goes further — the online Loss Analyzer is the free, no-install starting point.
